her as heir to the throne. At the same time as her cousin, Stephen of
Blois, claimed right of succession. Stephen seized the throne in abt
1135. After civil wars in the 1150s, he accepted her son Henry II
Plantagenet as the King. Also of interest, she was housed for a short
time in Arundel Castle (Queen Matilda's room in the Keep) at her
step-mother's (Adeliza, then wife of William d'Albini, RIN) invitation.DEATH/BURIAL: first buried in Bec abbey, le Bec-Hellouin, Eure, France;
but in the 19th C., her remains were moved to Notre Dame cathedral in
Rouen, France.
