Stephen or Etienne of England Blois King

NAME/TITLE: also Count of Boulogne and Count of Mortain.

NOTE: His reign in England is shown as 1135 to 1154, between Henry I
and Henry II of England (his uncle and his cousin's son). He was
imprisoned several times by his cousin and rival for the throne of
England, Empress Mathilda, Henry I's daughter. In February 1141, he was
defeated by the armies of Robert FitzRoy of GLOUCESTER and Empress
Matilda's at the battle of Lincoln. He almost lost his life; emprisoned
then. Later in the year, his Flemish ally, William of Ypres helped him
defeat Empress Matilda's force crossing the River Test at Wherwell.

NAME/TITLE: also Count of Boulogne and Count of Mortain.
MARRIAGE/CHILDREN: spouse, Matilda de BOULOGNE, brought lands and
titles to the marriage union. Other children: Eustace IV, Count of
CHAMPAGNE; Maud of Blois of ENGLAND, Baldwin, Prince of ENGLAND, and
Marie of MORTAIN & BOULOGNE.

NOTE: His reign in England is shown as 1135 to 1154, between Henry I

Thibaud IV or Theobald of Navarre King

NAME/TITLE: also known as Thibaud IV, Count of Champagne, and
(Theobald II) Count of Blois (1201-1253). In 1234, became King of
Navarre -- allied with Blanche of Castille (formerly her enemy). [ref.
Larousse dictionary].
The French dictionary LAROUSSE also states that several Counts of
Champagne were named Thibaud de Blois.

William Fitz Duncan

NOTE: "In 1138, William Fitz Duncan, the nephew of David, King of
Scotland, led the Picts and Scots into England, where they laid waste the
province of Crafna (Craven.) Fourteen years later, the King established by
force William Fitz Duncan in the Honor of Skipton and Crafna and
destroyed the original Castle opposing him. William married Alice de
Romille, heiress of the Castle and honour of Skipton, and daughter of
Cecilia. Their issue was a son, William, who died young; and Cicely, who
for her second husband married William le Gross, Earl of Albemarle,
whose issue in turn was two daughters, Hawise and Amesia. Hawise by
her second husband, William, had issue a son William de Fortibus, who
married Aveline, and their issue William, had issue a daughter, Avelyne,
who married Edmund Plantagenet, surnamed Crouchback, on July 6th
1269."
