DEATH: died of natural causes at 1:30 p.m., in the SALT LAKE HOME
(residential care facility) where he had been living for about six months.
Over a period of about 18 years prior to his death, he had suffered a
major heart attack requiring heart bypass surgery, and a series of
debilitating strokes. He also had been treated numerous times for skin
cancer. Though he was broken in body, he was strong mentally and
spiritually to the end. His funeral service was held in the Arlington Hills
ward on March 9, 1998.
BURIAL: His gravesite is located near his parents, his son and daughter,
his daughter-in-law, and ancestors in the George Q. Cannon family area
of the city cemetery.
